Welcome to Satori Strings Contest 2012 (Sign Up Deadline: Postmark June 3, 2012)Please click here for the information of our 1st annual Satori International Music Festival (SIMF)Dates:Sunday July 8, 2012: Contests for Qualified and all other Qualified CategoriesSaturday July 14, 2012: Contests for Prodigy and Open Solo CategoriesSunday July 15, 2012: Prodigy and Open Ensemble Categories.Following the Ensemble contests at: 2:00PM starts The Grand Prize Contest for all Prodigy and Open 1st place winners (Winners' Concert 2012)Grand Prize Contest procedure and schedule: First place winners of the Prodigy and Open categories are encouraged to sign up for the Grand Prize Contest starts at: 2:00 PM Sunday 15, 2012. $15 addition application fee for each contestant will be apply. 4 solo winners will be chosen: Caterry I: 9 years old or younger, category II: Age 10 - 12, category III: Age 13 - 15, category IV: Age 16 or up, and 2 groups of ensemble contestants will be chosen: Category I: Age 13 or younger, the older member has to be under 13. Category II: Age 14 and up.Prizes: Grand prize winners: Cash awards, certificateand trophy, each participant for the grand prize contest concert will receive a certificate of recognition. Prodigy and Open categories' winners: Crystal Trophy and certificate. About Satori Strings Contest
Join us in Arcadia, CA during the last weekend of June each year Satori Strings Contest open to young musicians up to the age of 19, the finest players in over 150 performing categories will take home the prestigious Satori trophy. Contest areas include Prodigy, Open, Qualified and Jr. Qualified categories as well as small ensemble contests, Baroque and American music specialties. Separate sections for Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass are further divided into specific age groups. The top four finishers in each category and age group will take home a beautiful commemorative trophy. Winners in the Collegiate and Prodigy categories may advance to the grand prize contest.
